The state of Kerala celebrates a 10 day long festival of Onam that may fall during the month of September or October and this is when you would get to see the breathtaking vallom kalli i.e. snake boat races where synergies of several hundred people together converts into action and steer 1 boat to victory to win the Nehru Trophy(Aug), the beautiful pookulams and mouth watering Sadhya meals.
